Please note that this tip applies to using the Blue Iris GUI and not viewing it on a web browser.

I’ve been a long time Blue Iris surveillance software user and every once and a while it will do something very annoying. I eventually learn the issue was indeed a feature and not a bug. One such issue was no longer being able to double-click on a camera to view it full screen.

I did some searching and did not find an answer. I’m sure an answer existed, but I didn’t find it quick enough. I decided to use my highly technical system of clicking on everything possible, which eventually led to the solution.

  • Start by not having any camera selected in the Blue Iris GUI. Click on a space between cameras to be safe.
  • Look in the upper right-hand corner of the interface and click on the lower two arrows (as pictured below).
  • Once you click on the lower double arrows, you should see the double arrows above them change to double squares.

That’s it. You should now be able to double-click on a camera to view it full screen.
